WITS member Theresa Stephenson reveals how it comes to pass that angels sometimes appear when called upon to answer prayer in this short stinging memorable poem.
How Prayer is Answered
I stepped into the noisy bar and spotted a ghostly figure
At the end of the bar.
She was white as a sheet with pale blue eyes.
She had a kindness to her and was filled with compassion.
I stepped forward and said, “you don’t belong here!”
She just sighed and shook her head, “Your grandmother sent me and told me
to look after you.”

I wonder how many prayers from our grandmothers have saved us from grief? Thank you for the reminder Teresa.
I think the brevity of your poem, Theresa, is really effective in driving home your point or what I interpret your point is. Actually I can see three spiritual points in your poem.
I like this.
Sorry if I am being dumb but is that it?
